It is one of Thailand’s most popular places to buy proper IT equipment, and in this post we're going to give you all the information you need to visit Fortune Town.

What is Fortune Town IT Mall?

Fortune Town IT Mall is a renowned shopping center in Bangkok, Thailand, specializing in electronic and IT products. Situated in the heart of Rama 9, this mall has become a go-to destination for tech enthusiasts looking to pick up some great electronics in Bangkok.

For those looking to buy modern electronic equipment, mobile phones, or other high-quality IT devices, Fortune Town is well equipped with plenty of tech items in its store. This four-story mall is basically a one-stop shop for all your electronic needs, offering nearly the latest stuff at quite competitive prices. There are plenty of shops within the mall and an extensive range of products and services.

Shopping Experience

The mall features individual stores where customers can purchase various electronic devices and accessories. These range from mobile phone stores to game shops selling consoles and games. You can find computer parts like graphics cards, hard drives, and other components too. Fortune Town is a great place to pick up a new monitor too, as there is a variety of shops selling monitors.

If photography is your thing, there are some great camera shops that sell DSLRs, mirrorless cameras and camera accessories. Some camera shops sell popular point-and-shoot and more expensive enthusiast cameras from well-known brands like Nikon and Canon. One of the best camera stores is Big Camera, they stock a lot of cameras and accessories, and if they don't have something in stock, they can usually order the item to the store.

Shops selling small gadgets like power banks, chargers, cables, and phone cases are also quite good at this mall. You won't find many super cheap items, but you will likely find a lot of stores selling good brands at very competitive prices. This makes Fortune Town a good place to shop for those looking for good-quality equipment at reasonable prices.

Game consoles like the PlayStation 5, Xbox, or Nintendo Switch can be bought at Fortune Town too, along with games and accessories. It's an awesome mall if you want to pick up a bundle like a game console, a few games, and a controller to go with it.

The shopping experience is great at Fortune Town IT Mall, especially as it is much less busy compared to other electronics malls like MBK Center. Fortune Town offers just as much variety as other malls, but it is less crowded, and haggling with stalls and shops is not really necessary.

Shops at Fortune Town usually have fixed prices, whereas a lot of shops at MBK Center are open to haggling. However, you can still find some stalls and small shops at Fortune Town that will allow you to haggle for lower prices, so it's worth a try if you think you can get the price down.

Unlike the bustling and hectic atmosphere of Pantip Plaza and MBK Center, Fortune Town provides a less chaotic shopping environment, making it a preferred choice for many.

The shopping experience and products for sale are excellent. There really isn't much missing at Fortune Town, and you can find just about any electronic product you need within one mall. If you're looking for a great variety of stalls and shops at reasonable prices, then Fortune Town is the place to shop at.

Visiting Fortune Town IT Mall

The mall is located right next to the Phra Ram 9 MRT station, which is just 2 stops from Sukhumvit MRT station on the blue line. This makes it very easily accessible for anyone staying in the city center area. It's open daily from 10:00 am to 10:00 pm, but some shops and vendors may open or close earlier than this.

Nearby attractions include the Central Rama 9, Jodd Fairs Rama 9, Tesco-Lotus supermarket, and various other shops.

Dining at Fortune Town

Fortune Town has a great food court with many tasty options at affordable prices. This makes it easy to grab a bite while shopping for electronics. However, if you're looking for sit-down restaurants, Central Rama 9 shopping mall is located directly across the road from Fortune Town, and they have a ton of restaurants available.

Jodd Fairs Rama 9 Night Market is also nearby, and they have plenty of street food available if you're visiting in the evening. For those visiting during lunchtime, I recommend the food court at Fortune Town, but if you're looking for some nice sit-down restaurants for dinnertime, it might be worth visiting the Central Rama 9 shopping mall.

Facilities and Services

There is also a Lotus supermarket at Fortune Town and other shops like Watsons, which make it extra convenient if you want to pick up some goods besides electronics. The basement floor has a Lotus supermarket and various food stores, and the mall even houses the Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel. This makes it an extra convenient option for those who want to stay near Fortune Town.

Summary

Fortune Town It Mall is easily one of Bangkok's best electronics malls. Even though it flies below the radar and does not get as much attention as some of the other malls in Bangkok, it is just as good and provides a great shopping experience. The variety of shops at Fortune Town makes it easy to buy most electronics at great prices. Overall, I highly recommend it for anyone looking for an electronics mall in Bangkok.
